Our History

In July 2010, RFS2 was mandated. Since then, Agrileum has refurbished the facility and stabilized Plant operations. In October 2011, Agrileum recommenced commercial biodiesel production. The 17-acre Project site is owned by Agrileum. It has an operational 40 million gallon per year biodiesel plant and 10 million gallon per year feedstock pre-treatment facility. The Plant has two 250,000 gallon finished biodiesel storage tanks and three 80,000 gallons multi-feedstock storage tanks on-site. It also has laboratory and testing facilities, oilseed storage and handling and transportation system, steam boiler plant and office buildings. Location is fundamental for biodiesel producers, as large amounts of feedstock need to be procured and finished goods distributed. Memphis is a major manufacturing and distribution hub, serving the entire US. It has the world’s busiest cargo airport and second busiest cargo port on the Mississippi. The city’s excellent rail, air, inland port, highway network, combined with its mild climate and central location in the US, have attracted the headquarters of Fortune 500 companies, such as FedEx, International Paper, Autozone and Thomas & Betts.
